If you need your shooting games to be 100 miles and hours and without pauses, then this game probably isn't for you, and the Operation Flashpoint 2 Dragon Rising gameplay might even annoy you. The reason for this that the game enjoys a much slower, realistic pace and puts you in control of a small team that you must manage in order to survive. As well as this, the game is far more open and expansive than most current first-person shooters (such as the Call of Duty series), as the distance you'll engage most enemies from will be a lot further away.

However, this provides a far more rewarding experience, and one that you're not likely to forget. There's a great feeling that comes from telling your squad to get into formation, then stealthily sneaking up on your targets, before taking them out silently with headshots. It has been said that the game is aimed towards a more 'hardcore' gamer crowd, rather than the casual gamer. This is due to its tactical nature, and the fact that you'll always have to think through your next moves. This makes the Operation Flashpoint 2 Dragon Rising gameplay fairly unique do to its extreme realism, while retaining a good amount of fun (often games obsessed with forget about fun).

It has been said that the Operation Flashpoint 2 Dragon Rising gameplay is some of the finest ever seen in a first-person shooter. The only downside is that sometimes your computer-controlled team-mates can do stupid things, like walk right into your line of fire right when you're about to take out an enemy. The simple fix to this problem is to simply play the online cooperative mode, where you and a few other friends can take on the world yourselves.
